i did get a much better stream using the A027 definition file than i have ever gotten and now the data seems to be much more reliable and might just need to tweak the timing a bit to get a little better but i would say its at about 70-80% good data now

i sent aldlcable an email regarding the situation and am going to see what they say about the problems i am having but after reading the instructions, i an confused because parts of those instructions dont even describe the cable correctly

i was able to finally get some time to try it some more but still ended up with the same problems as before with my brothers laptop and am now gonna try looking for someone i know with another car i can possible try it on because i doubt that the issue now is with my laptop

i tried it, it didnt seem to help, in fact it seemed worse so i unplugged it then plugged it back in again, then the cable started making my cursor freak-out, so i think it might be a problem with interference either from the mouse, or software for it, so im going to try my brothers laptop, i alread...

yes, i have been using the 10k resistor plugged into pin A and B and then the ground pin plugged into A and the Data plugged into M

is the fact that it isnt the original ecm that it might be giving me problems. i had to get a replacement from advanced autoparts and just had to swap out the eprom, but i dont know if its possible that it is using a different mask than the original

i did check everything over and everything is set correctly but i did manage to get some kind of info working. the rpms did increase when i tried actually turning the car on and reving it but a lot of the other data points were still wonky, i also changed the com port from 4 to 33 so i dont know if ...

when i test the able it only says that it is not functioning / cant be found only when both pins are plugged in and it says that its fine when only 1 of the 2 are plugged in and it doesn't matter which one it is. it also says that it isn't functioning when both pins are touching each other

still getting the same problem as before and i installed v4 and tried that and i was getting packet errors that i was not getting in v5, also when i test the cable using the built in tester, it says everything is fine until it is plugged in, then it says that it isnt functioning / it cant find it if...

i think i found the adx and the ads files that i had from looking stuff up earlier from another website but i wont be able to try it until tomorrow but it is 48.adx and 48.ads and it looks like the commands are about the same so i believe it should connect but i will try it tomorrow and let you know

i dont know if it has anything to do with it but i did have to replace the ecm awhile back because the solder joints were bad. i dont know if i would have gotten back the same ecm number or not but at the parts store they said it was number 1227748 so i dont believe it is a different ecm, gonna keep...
