The only thing that seems to me to be a challenge for the 94 ECM is that the LX5 motor has Coil on Plug ignition and the Camaro came with waste spark. Otherwise both are SFI and both have cam sensors. Is there a reason nobody has responded? Is this TOO crazy of a swap for anyone to consider worth it...

The ECU is behind the glove box. It controls the engine, mainly fuel. The thing in your dist. is the ICM, Ignition Control Module. That only controls spark. IDK in a 1992 how much ignition is controlled by the ECU. Probably at least the ESC... The PROM code looks like: BATY or BATZ something like th...

Crazy User, Insane Swap!
Hello all! I'm in Boise, ID aka BFE. I purchased a 1994 Camaro base for a song ($600). It has very few redeeming qualities, but it's my first Camaro EVER! It has a tired 3.4 in it and I had the "brilliant" idea to put a 1999 Olds 3.5L LX5 V6 in it. It's basically a 6 cyl. Shortstar with a ...

NOOB here... I'm amazed that an 80s EFI system uses a MAF! I didn't think GM started using that until the late 90s - even in Camaros! Especially on a TBI system. I had a 93 Caprice police car with the 5.7 and it used speed density instead of the MAF. My Cavy is MFI but is also speed density. The MAP...

1994 Camaro 3.4 Getting Started!
Hello all! Hoping I could pick your brains a little here. I am sure that this has already been answered somewhere, but I didn't see it off-hand. I would like to start by saying that I plan to swap another motor into this Camaro. I will most likely stick with a GM V6. I'm thinking 3.9 or 3.8. I digre...

I've had a LOT of personal stuff to deal with lately... lymphoma is a hell of a ride, and I'm not even the one that had it. :( I'll try and get to it tonight, I've got a lot more free time on my hands now than I have had for the past couple months. I'm really sorry to hear that you went through tha...
