Re: Will red label 623 software work for silver label ecu ?
As long as a software was made for the same DME it should work (my 403 DME worked with either 950 and 541 softwares)

Very interesting, it will be a nice feature on our olds motronics.
Ready to try it on my 404 when we'll have more infos

Re: M3.3.1 motronic (413 and 506) tuning and XDF update?
Looks like this D9 is somekind of injection/ignition event counter or something like it. D9 starts from 0 and it counts to 255 in about 30 seconds@1000rpm and in 10 seconds @ 3000rpm... Doesn't roll over. It stays on 255 when it reaches it. You may be right, on some others versions of Motronic ther...

I think I found the same in a 413/623 bin: Individual cylinder correction at 0xD0FA ? There is 8 values at 128, but maybe just 6 are used? Cranking fuel enrichement at 0xDB93, a 5x1 table with ECT as descriptor, very close of cranking fuel table, scaling and datas are coherent with what I have in th...

Re: M3.3.1 motronic (413 and 506) tuning and XDF update?
Hi all, recently swapped my E36 with a V8 M62, using a 404 DME with the XDF made by MYKK (huge thanks to him for this work). Did some tests and I find 2 new tables that could be interesting, and since M3.3 and m3.3.1 are very similar I think it can be easy to find in 413/506. Adresses are for beginn...

I didn't understand why raw values were increasing with rpm...
With the good equation things are way better.
Thank you very much !

Hi all,
Does someone knows unit and factor for datas in dwell time table? I will soon use some "high performance " coilpacks for my turbo setup, and will have To tune this table for the new coilpacks..

Re: incorrect checksum symptoms??
I've seen this "1utomatic checksum correction" in some xdf but it doesnt work.
Anyway like olafu said, a bad checksum only causes a CEL, I personnally never change checksum on my tunes, I have just deactivate checksum dtc.
Your xdf was probably wrong

If you want more try to retard ignition timing
For some kind of "antilag" you need to flow more air on overrun, by opening more the ICV

Did the swap today and a pre-tune (No more idle and wot maps, changed the adresses in the table index, PT/wot switch To 254, all fueling and ignition will work with PT tables). Re: MAP conversion for high boosted application
I've boosted my m50b25 with a gt3076. I've done a "housing swap" on my MAF (not an easy thing with the hot wire maf from non-vanos engines ) but maf signal is very unstable at idle and low loads. The only maf swap for 402/403 dme is the M5 3.8, so I think I will do the TPS/MAP swap. Mykk, ...
You're lucky I have a XDF for 402 599, here it is :
https://transfernow.net/41i2k233o85w
not "full xdf" but you'll find all you need .
All tables after "closed loop lambda" are wrong because I used a 403 xdf as basis and didn't delete those ^^

Unfortunately I didn't keep it, sorry... but if you need I can tell you map adresses for your 402. Tuning for pop1bang is not so different than the rest, just set an AFR on overrun and try different ignition angles depending on which type of pops you want. A good thing to do could be to extend Idle ...

good to have a real life feedback about that! For ignition tables, on MP3.2 they are RPM/Load related, like us. I dont see what could be a problem, for a given RPM load is directly related to boost value. Anyway I think that those tables can be converted to RPM/Boost instead of RPM/Load. For a bette...

MAP conversion for high boosted application
I was reflecting about using a MAP sensor with our 3.X(.X) motronics. For low boost applications the simplest solution is a MAF swap for a bigger one, and seems to work well. But for high boost, using a MAP sensor would be a better idea than a MAF which could saturate quickly. So here is my idea: re...

With good knowledge of how tables and headers works in motronic, you can easily found all you need from all the infos here on 403 and 413 😉 Why do you want a bigger maf? It can be useful for turbo or supercharger applications, but in naturally aspirated, maf is not a limiting factor with original...
