Right, more updates then. Did not know about the charcoal canister, as my system is installed on an E30 M20 I have one plugged in but just hanging out in the engine bay with no vacuum tubes, on or off would make no odds to me but would if it was connected. I have added this note to the excel documen...

Setting load threshold to 255 will reduce advance for some reason. Try 254, by setting it 0 it is always on... That's how I expected it to behave, observed behavior is 255 = terrible, 0 = drove ok. Just been out in the car, I can 100% confirm that zeroing the 4 lambda off tables and unsetting the flag puts it in permanent open loop. I have been running like that for about 3 months with very consistent results. (14.7-15.2 at cruise where I set the fueling to, no changes regardless of conditions...

Thanks, helpful. I have just been playing with this and I think the 32 value knock tables are actually a 16x2 map. I was looking at them as possibly 16 bit values but digging through my excel master sheet of the code there is a D5 2 value axis below the D0 16 value axis. Wedged between the knock con...

So you know, there is a formula for the timing, it is something like the raw hex value, minus 60, divided by 2(might be 4?) working from memory at work so best to double check that. Either way it is in the XDF files, conversions tab I think. Both the 413 and 506 def files have the correct timing for...

Just for clarity here, the 413 and 506 ECUs are identical hardware. They are both 6 cylinder versions of M3.3.1. The 413 ECU was for the M50B25 and the 506 for the US S50B32. Like the E30 172 and 173 ECUs they are only chipped differently so either ECU can be used on either car with either BIN. They...

Yikes, ok, 32lb is a lot of fuel, more suitable for a turbo car. As Evil said check things out with the 17lb injectors and if you are struggling for fuel at the top end then get some pink top M52 injectors. To be honest though the S50 throttles will not give you a lot of benefit, the M50B25tu does n...

The best software seems to be the 506 software as it is the best understood so far and the XDF on the tuner pro site is the most complete. You can copy the B25 maps into the 506 bin and it will run just the same as before. There are only small differences between the 506 software and the others, mos...

Has anyone on here disassembled the 413 code?
I have been trying for a while to get a good disassembly of the code from the 413 ECU with mixed results. Biggest issue I am finding is that the code seems to reference the zero register a lot and IDA is not liking it. IDA treats the zero register as always zero making a lot of the code meaningless....

Good to confirm it works as suggested. I might see if I can point the ECU to just one table for both ...

As far as I am aware the table is in little-endian format. So the hex is backwards, eg for the 403 fuel map at 0x711C in the XDF, adding on the headers it actually starts at 0x71FC so the table will contain FC 71.Have to say though, after a quick look I cannot find the table in the 403 bin I have. You will need a speed signal, upside is that it is only an unmodified signal from the diff. Wire up your VSS in the diff to the ECU and you should be golden. The need for a signal is hard coded into the ECU, until there is a publicly available disassembly of the code or I can learn enough to do it a...

Won't matter provided the ECU is set up right for the injectors. Both the M20 and M50 injectors are capable of fuelling the engine correctly. The table should be higher number for more enrichment, certainly that it the response I get from the M3.3.1 ECU. I know the Axis descriptors are a little different from the 413 ECU but the enrichment table is TPS volts vs RPM, 6 wide 4 high. From what I know of these ECUs (sure someone can correct me if I am wrong) you will need to give the ECU a normal TPS input as well as giving the MAF input the TPS voltage. 100% you will need to adjust the acceleration enrichment table, If your fuel tables were ok before adding the throttles then that may not be too tricky, otherwise it could become a bit of a circular task. I would think you have 2 issues going on, whipping the throttles open quickly is resulting in the air getting to the chambers faster than it did with the single throttle and plenum set up, this is going to throw out your acceleration enrichment. Second thing the acceleration enrichment is based on t...
