HELP!!!

Post by mikes87ttype »

New to this... I believe I have set my PC up correctly with TP. It shows that it reads the cables but when I plug it into my ecu it goes to hardware not found. I have an 87 buick GN or really its a T type but should be same thing. I really am just wanting to read and not burn anything at this time. I have downloaded the bin and xdf and even tried to download from the ecu but am so confused because it wont read anything right when i plug my cables into the car. Any Suggestions PLEASE???

to read the datastream, you need the correct ADS or ADX (depending on if you're running V4 or V5).

"hardware not found" is referring to emulation/burning hardware, not an ALDL cable, so that's normal.

I downloaded .ads and .xdf definition files from the gm section in the tunerpro website and it fixed this problem.
