1988 Fiero Coupe 2.5 L Iron Duke

Post by Fiero88Coupe2_5 »

Hi,

I'm new to TunerPro and am trying to figure out if it's safe for my ECM.

I found the definition file (A027 for LT2 87, LR8/L68 87-88) from the TunerPro website.

I have downloaded TunerProRT and imported the definition file (Acquisition-> Import Definition->From ADS...)

And I can now make my own Dashboard and view the parameters in the data list.

The only problem I have is I don't have an ALDL/USB cable at the moment, I plan to order one, but just want to be sure I won't screw my ECM.

I mostly want to do Diagnostics, and then maybe get into the tuning part.

Will I be able to view in "Real-Time" my parameters safely without messing up my ECM?

Thanks,
J

I know this is old, but the A027 doesn't work for the 87 88 2.5 Fiero. I have written a .ADX that does. This is only for the 87-88 Fiero.

The link is located at the bottom of this page on my web site = http://www.reddevilriver.com/Related_Products.html

Can't work set up like it is now? It was written by Robert Saar, all you did was change it and add your website for sales and your email, along with wrong command for data...

No, I had to move all the parameters over a few bytes to match them up. The existing definition didn't work for the 87-88 Fiero ECMs. I assume it worked for the other Iron Duke engines.
