Going Bonkers with TP .xdf conversions

Post by desmo01 »

Hi guys,

Running XP SP2 latest version of TP (per update in TP). For the life of me I cannot get things to convert to 'real' values from HEX. Went through the help file, my equations look correct, SEEMS to be correctly set up, but no joy. Have also tried manipulating all variables in .xdf item setup still no luck.

If it matters .bin is from a Magnetti Marelli ECU, editing/setting up with no other HW connected to laptop (HP N5445).

ANY help would be very greatly appreciated.

I'm mostly through a 1.6M, and working with a P8 as well....

Hmm, sorry I don't have any knowledge on those, but if you post your xdf and bin somewhere (or pm me for my email address) I'll see if I can spot why your conversions aren't working.

If all you get in the conversions are zeros, make sure the XDF header is setup with the proper bin size. If it's set to 0, TunerPro will not display data (or, better said, it will always display zero).

Yo, Mangus!

Actually I did figure out the bin size deal in the general header.

All I can get the Z axis (table values) to show up in is hexidecimal.

I can get the labels to work from the hex code (hex values displayed though - in table/graph), but just can't seem to get the values to show up right.

Any ideas?

Right click in the table and select "Show Calculated Values".

Umm, yeah, ok...

We'll just put that one into the user-generated issue category then....

Worked just fine!

Thanks!
