Just downloaded the very latest TunerPro RT app. First, it wouldn't start because it couldn't find the API-MS-WIN-CRT-STDIO-L1-1-0.dll on the computer. I downloaded the dll to the laptop. It now says it can't start because of error 0xc000007b.
Presently running Windows8.1.
Can you help?
Can't get it to start... the application that is

The api-ms-win-crt_stdio-l1-1-0.dll appears to be part of the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015. See here for the update:

Correct. Install this one, specifically:

You may also need to check for Windows updates after you install the above.
I'll fix this issue in the next release.

The latest version now requires the Visual Studio 2017 redist. The TunerPro installer should automatically install it, but some folks still seem to be seeing issues. You can manually download and install it from here:
https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=746572
Then run Windows Update, reboot, and try launching TunerPro again.

Hi ,
Surely I am here to help you.
Follow these steps.
Firstly check your windows whether it”s updated or not
If Windows is updated and everything looks fine, try re-installing the particular program that is reverting https://dll.one/how-to-fix-api-ms-win-c ... ing-error/
Repair installed Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable package
if you already have the Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable package installed on your computer and still getting the error, there’s a high chance that it can be fixed by repairing the program.
Install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Update.
Register the DLL file:
Copy-paste the api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll file
Next, plug the drive on your computer and copy that file and head over to C:\Windows\System32\downlevel and paste it there, and that’s it.
Hope your problem get solved by following these steps.

Re: Can't get it to start... the application that is
My problem is related with NtCreateFile API failure that is also a .dll problem,
and installing the latest version(2017) of VS C++ didn’t solve it,
but installing 2013 version works fine.
Installing 2017 version afterwards works fine as well.
Actually I installed from 2005 version, so installed 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2017.
It is a long story but you need 2013 version in this case.
Maybe it applies to some other dll problem, I guess…
