Is a PCM that has been altered by HPTuners no longer valid in LSDroid?

Post by SvenLotus »

I bought a harness and PCM (12200411 sticker on PCM case) from a facebook ad and the seller asked a lot of questions about my car prior to configuring the PCM as best he could for my application. When I asked what he used to do that with he responded with HPTuners. I received the PCM and harness but when I try to read it with LS Droid, The read completes and I get a bin file but then LSDroid pops up an error box that states:

LS Droid has tried to read the Operating system number and was unable to identify what type of PCM is connected.

Is this expected when trying to use LS Droid on a PCM that has been altered with HPTuner ?

BTW, I am using the latest version of LS Droid and I have a OBDXProVX adapter

If I try to read the same PCM with PCMHammer it also complains about not being able to recognize the PCM type.
