Cant connect

I made my own wire. and I can connect in Winaldl and in tunerpro rt with 1227165-160baud.ads However even when it is not plugged in it says it connects but when it is really connected I get fatly info like it says i'm going 12 MPH when I'm in my carport without the engine running.But it wont let me connect in 1227165_6E.ads

What am I doing wrong I used the Winaldl wiring schematic where the computer powers the cord because the computer takes up the cig lighter.

Maybe its the wrong cord schematic? Because I hear of people using 2 transistor schematics and the winaldl schematic only has 1 transistor... Please help!

You need 10K ohms of resistence between pins A & B of the ALDL connector in order to get data from the 1227165. Ensure you've got a 10K resistor in place. Radioshack has them.
