Data Tracing for $8F...what is the Equation Format?

Post by TGPilot »

Hey Mark,

I know we discussed this before and I can not find the email or thread about it.

What is the proper math equation that should be entered in "equation format" for the 2bar MAP sensor? This is for the $8F to get the data tracing working?

Thanks much!

For data tracing to work you must have the XDF items set to Integer or floating point display.
The values coming in on the ADS definition must be of the same numeric range as the XDF item definition.
Make sure RPM is not RPM x10 or something that throws off the whole thing.
Temperatures can not be C in the XDF and F in the ADS.
Those types of items are the main reasons when it doesn't work.

I am aware of how it works. What I need is the numeric equation required to convert the MAP voltage to kPa. In the ALDL data for the $8F it does not have kPa available.

Look at page 66.
Build a table for lookup use if you can't use a direct calculation.
