Crash when Verify Emulator RAM against bin

Post by ptal »

Hi,
I have windows XPSP2 and tunerprort 4.14 installed.
The software crashes every time I click the Verify Emulator RAM button.

Is this common or just me. I'm going to try my other laptop (but it has vista 64bit). I am also upgrading my XP laptop to SP3 to see if this helps.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Phil

Do inspect your XDF header and make sure the bin size is set correctly, and make sure you have a bin loaded.

Thanks Mark,

The bin was set to 16000 for a 512K bin.
Just checking, should I have 512000 for 512K?

Thanks again,
Phil

Hey Mark,
Well I got emulation working with the 32K bin (not 512), by setting the value at 32768. Is this right? The car runs now under this without diagnostic errors and updates nicely while running. I figured 32K was 32 x 1024 bytes. Anyway, I tried to verify emulator RAM with both 32000 and 32768 values saved in the XDF settings but the program still crashes consistently.

Any more ideas?

Thanks
Phil

PS. I really appreciate all your work in this. You've got a fantastic piece of software in TunerPro and your support is A1

It should be 80000. That's probably the issue.

I just tried 80000 saved in the XDF header and it emulates but still closes on Verify Emulator Ram.

Please note - the Bin is a 32K bin and not 512K as I thought.

Any other clue?

Thanks again,
Phil

32KB is 0x8000, then.
