1993 K1500 Silverado Problems

Post by topcok88 »

I have a 1993 Silverado 350 TBI, 4L60E, and Mods. I just got into tuning and cannot find the proper .XDF file or .ASD/.ADX. It is odd in the fact it has a BLCP Blue Top Memcal. TurboCity did a mail in tune, but I now invested in a Moates HDR1 Memcal Header, APU1 Autoprom, and GP1 Adapter using TunerPro RT v4.14.0381.0. I tried an E6 BIN Definition with no luck. A 0D A217 Engine v1_0.ads, 16168625_94-95_C_K_G_Body_TBI.ads, E6_ECM.ads/E6_TCM.ads, all with no luck at all. This is my first time using a stock ECU for any tuning at all. Moates suggested that my ECM may be a '8625 ish, and a $E5 Definition for TunerPro. But I cannot find anything at all about it. Any guidance or help would be greatly appreciated.

GM BLCP Subur-Cheye-Silver 98 V-8 57L Aut190hp (pot) CHK:472E DELCO 2 Superchips BLCP The closest thing I have found yet to "BLCP". Where or how can I identify my ECU? This is the numbers I am working with on the ECU itself: MEMCAL: BLCP, 1620, 5198. The numbers off of my PCM are as follows: ACD# 216-91, LC21 4907 07309, GM# 88999187, GR.3.670 CG ECSM, REMAN, and located on my blue socket is a bar-code with the numbers: 07862500072970064 REMFG.

I called Harris Performance today and got that information straight. The Datalogger Function is working great now. The problem I have NOW is emulating. It seems as tho we may be doing the process wrong if that is possible? Upload .BIN to Emulator, Verify, and it all goes thru well. When it comes to actually turning on the vehicle it flashes either repeatedly in limp mode or it flashes once. Datalogger indicates a bad prom. How can this be when it is a $E6 on the chip that runs the truck and in TunerPro? One way that seems to work is Unplug ZIF, Unplug ECU RED/BLUE(connectors), Plug in ZIF, Plug in RED/BLUE. Once emulating making changes, etc is easy. It just get frustrating "trying to get it right" all the time. I have been sitting on the SuperFlow for a day and spent most of it trying to get a connection to the ECU/Emulator to work! Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do you have "Disable checksum by upload" enabled?

I had just found out about the "Checksums". Altho I do not completely understand the purpose or premise behind them, I will do as people say and Disable them tomorrow. I will put the truck back up on the SuperFlow and see if it works now. The only other thing is to find BIN files that are close enough to my stock BLCP MEMCAL. Thank you for the help.

Well I got my WOT tuning complete on the DynoJet today. The Emulating and ALDL went great. But I still have a problem. I go to burn my chip and I get a 'strobe like' MIL. I can use my stock MEMCAL, copy the chip from that, put a 27SF512 burned copy in my GP1 adapter and my truck runs. I change my rev limiter to anything other than what was on the chip and that MIL comes back. Here is my DynoSheets:

Tuned with TunerPro RT WOT

The only thing that I can't do now is burn a chip and use the tune! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Problems with burned chips on a 16168625

Post by brickyenne »

Hi everyone, I'm also experiencing problems with a pair of burned chips for my truck using tunerpro. The pcm is #16168625. The first time with a 27C512 eprom and the second with an eeprom with no success. Truck starts in limp mode flashing the MIL light. Any help will be appreciated.Thanks.
