Making an XDF, anyone recognize tables I've missed

Post by Mykk »

Hey guys,

I've been slowly piecing together an XDF for my E34 M60B40 404dme. The XDF was created by ecuconnections XDFcreator using the 413 values, as the 404 values are unknown and the 413 settings yielded results.

So, obviously it's not perfect. I've spent months (off & on) deciphering the tables and what they do to the real world tune and driveability.

My plan is to label the tables by what driving condition they effect and then their function. I've found the tables in use by the DME during idle conditions. Also a few Part Throttle and WOT tables. The tables in use at all times are labeled GLOBAL. I've used cell hit tracing to verify the use under operating conditions.

I just ordered a tablet mount to put in my car so I can start the process of driving while cell hit tracing to further decipher the use and function of the tables.

Would you, please, take a look at my XDF and OE 404.bin to see if you recognize any of the unknown tables and help me expedite this process. Thank you!
