Could Windows XP be my problem?

Post by gnatshop »

I still haven't been able to get GMECMEdit to run right. I'm running Windows XP Professional and I've tried the setting the program file with no compatability preference, 98 ME, and 2000.

I get the following error message 'Invalid Item Data/Syntax in Item. Check for missing comma. Item #30.

I sometimes get this message when first trying to execute the program.
A couple of times, I have gotten the program up and get the message when trying to specify the ECU file.

Congratulations on the new TunerPro site. Looks like an exciting endeavor.
I apologize for not making a donation yet, but wanted to at least get the program up and running first to ensure compatability.

nope. this is an error in your ecu file. scroll down to the thirtieth item in the ecu file and check the syntax (make sure everything is correct).

be sure its *actually* the thirtieth item and just the item that says "/*item 30*/"

as that isn't always actually the 30th item.

If you're confused, email me the ecu file.
