I want to work on the VAG TDI group of DXF's

Post by Gunnar »

Hello.

I have quite a lot of information on the Injection and turbo maplocations for the VW tdi engines.

I tried doing one for the 2.5 TDI 5 cilinder engine, which is also used in volvo and audi.

I made the DXF using the memory location that i know has the 16x16 turbomap, however it keeps comming up with a 16x16 with all 0's.

Can anyone help me with telling me what i did wrong in the dxf?

The turbo map starts at 0003C7B4

You need to specify the bin size in the xdf header. Press 'cntrl +F2' to access the XDF header editor and enter '40000' in the 'Bin Size (hex)' box.

It's good to see someone trying another ecu type :D

Ah, so a 256kb bin file is 40000 and a 512 is 80000 then ?

I think tunerpro is an amazing program and the fact that its free is even better. I will do my best to contribute to the vag group as much as i can.
Most are quite simple if you use vag-com to get rid of the immo problem (and if you can do the checksum calc.

Thanks for looking into my problem.

Yes, 256kb = 266752 bytes in decimal = 40000 bytes in hexadecimal.
