I'm using an ALDL cable that I have used on an older laptop that had a serial port. I want to quit using the older one and move everything to my newer one. I purchased an IO Gear usb-serial port adapter, but I'm guessing it's one of the ones that doesn't work. Do you know anything about Eiger Labs s...

Try using the other 165 definition file that came with TP.

1227165_6E.ads

Where did you get those values?

You should be using a factor of 0.369 and an offset of 10.35

factor = 1 / 2.71
offset = 28.06 / 2.71

Try that and you should be on the money

I have a definition file I wrote for that datastream that I need tested. I wrote it for a friend's truck and we just haven't had time to play with it yet. If you'd like to give it a try, send me an e-mail at woody_works@hotmail.com

I have seen similar problems with a standard ALDL interface cable when command chaining is used. If you have some commands chained, try disabling it.
