I am very farmilliar with this engine by fact I have an 86 Delta 88 3.8 vin 3. I did work on a 93 3300 where the crank sensor was going out. It would run for 30 min or so and then die. No spark, No injector click. You had to wait about 15 min or so before it would fire up again but it would die agai...

When you say it is running rich do you mean rich like you can smell it or rich like it lopes. If it dose it only when it is hot it is just the computer trying to keep the motor cool. Also, malfunctions in the EGR, EES, O2 sensor and vaccum leaks can cause one to run rich.

I'm new to this too but I mostly have it figured out. Exactly what kind of car do you have. Be as specific as possible.

:cry: Hey, I just recently got the stuff from moates to tune my computer. I have a 86 Oldsmobile Delta 88 3.8 vin 3. My computer is a 1227148.
