ALDL - OBD1 scanning

Post by KaliE36 »

Hello to all,
I'm a brand new in using tunerPro application - but I already like'em; I already manage to define my own .xdf and modify few values in the maps, but I'm completely lost when we talking about ALDL monitoring, data tracking or datalogging ... is there a coprehensive guide (or a link to some information) about what hardware/ software do I need to enable monitoring/ tracking/ datalog ?
Currently I use a Moates EPROM Burner and a Ostrich 2.0 for emulation (works very well with tunerPro) ...
I like to mention that my car is a 91 M50 non vanos bmw, using bosch motronic 3.1 ...
Thank you,
Bogdan N

Hello -

Unfortunately TunerPro can only scan the GM OBDI protocol. You won't have much luck with your motronic unit. I'm very happy to hear, however, that you're having success with tuning using TunerPro and the Ostrich!

Good luck, and keep us informed.

ok - anyway TunerPro + Ostrich is a strong tuning tool and without ALDL monitoring (I will use a datalogger that I was used before) ...
on the other hand - at least the data tracking can be enabled? (this can be very usefull for knowing when the ECU switch between PT or WOT maps, or else ...)
Thank you,
