Can someone tell me what " NV " represents

The ratio of engine speed "N" over vehicle speed "V"

If the values for rpm, vehicle speed or NV are scaled then you may need to adjust the formula to suit.

NV is typically used to loosely determine what gear the vehicle is in. It's not very useful in datalogs.
