New, could use advice

Post by Tony »

Whats up, I've just started coming across ecu tuning info and was wondering if anyone had any advice or tips that would help a rookie out. I own a 1993 300ZX. I've read the ztechz stuff and understand the process for the most part but, not being a hard core computer person i realize i have a lot of learning to do. So any other resources, tutorials, guides or what not any of you know of please share the wealth.

Also, I recently purchased from Moates, the ostrich, burn1, wideband setup, and the discounted tunerpro registration. I haven't recived the registration key from them yet(its only been a couple days) should i worry? I at least want to feel like the support went where it was supposed to.

Another quick question, I've been reading post where people are datalogging their wideband with the tuner pro. Will i be able to do this as well. Also as far as datalogging on nissans. I have a conzult cable but no software, can i use this cable with the tuner pro software and read and log engine signals, or is the software not compatible.

Sorry for all the dumb newb questions. I'm dropping my engine in, in a couple days, hopefully the Moates stuff comes in just in time. I haven't even tried using it yet, i just wanted to pre prep myself sort of speak. So maybe some of my questions would be self explanatory if i had it installed and running, but you can't blame me for trying to prepare myself.
Anyhow thanks, appreciate the help

Tony -

Apologies for the incredible delay in replying. I'm only just getting caught up in the forums.

You should have received your registration key within a few days of your order. If you haven't yet, please email me and let me know.

TunerPro does not yet support the Consult interface, but support for it is planned for the future. Unfortunately you can only datalog your wideband using the A/D interface of an AutoProm. Your wideband, however, may have its own datalogging software and interface. Which wideband did you purchase?
