97 K3500 L29 with 0411 swap - what software/hardware?

Post by scottm-az »

I have worked for two years building a nice 7.4L L29 for my 97 k3500 - heads ported (295 cfm intakes), valves unshrouded, milled, cc matched and polished chambers, welded and ported manifold, Comp 01-411 cam and adjustable valvetrain, Bosch 36 lb injectors from 5-0, custom long tube stainless headers, 0411 swap with the Lextech sheets. I sent the pcm up to Black Bear for a tune to these specs. Now I would like to play with shift points, turn O2's and egr off and on, and other easy stuff myself. So what do you guys recommend for a newbie tuning setup? What is the difference between Tunerpro and tunerpro RT? I only need Obd2 stuff. What is the source for the data cable?
Thanks, Scott

Did you ever come up with a program for the 454 that you'd be able to share? I have just completed my 454 build and got it to start and run, wont idle due to LOTS of fuel dumping in) off the original 99' k3500 black box, but am now doing the 411 swap.
