Emulation Ribbon Cable

Post by Irocing »

Mark,

Instead of the ribbon cable for emulation would you have something
like a coax cable for my Autoprom?? Would be cleaner as well as having
the shield covering as to interference protection.
Something like the hardrive cables in a PC?

Just wondering.
Thanks :)

This question should be on Moates.net...

Anyway...

There are no other styles of emu cable than the flat ribbon cable.

What you could do, is like some PC builders and split the emu cable between every so many conductors to use a round covering, like the braided covering.

Funny you should mention HDD cables in a PC - the emulation ribbon is exactly the same kind of cable.

Anyway, Six Shooter is correct - the ribbon is all there is.

As to the ribbon cable, I thought I had seen some after market
hardrive cables available to clean up the bulky ribbon cables inside
a PC.
Didn't know if they were shielded or not :?:
If there are I guess the problem would be the connector ends, in my
case going into my USB AutoProm.

Thanks :)
