165 ecm with communication stops

I have also been victim of this. I would like to help in figuring out the solution.

Lets look at the problem statment....
"The software is unable to determine the data stream from the ECU"

All solutions point back to powering down the ECU and starting back up. This tells us it is an ECU problem not, Computer, Cable, Software etc...

Lets look at the ECU..... Using the 10k resistor, tells the ECU to start the 8192 data mode... Correct..??

No. As for the rest of the battle, try another ECU. Some 165s are worse than others.

Ive got the 8259 ecu in my 89 Iroc now. There has to be a different location on the bus to pull data from. Im trying to find some schematics for the ecu.
