I have the 1227076 ECM that was robbed from an 84 Olds that I am using inplace of the original ECM that came with the 85 Motor since retiring the original 307 to a 403. I had issues with the original ECM wanting to set the 403 to running lean alot and found it was an issue with the 85 ecm that was tuned to get the most mpg out of the 307 hence my change to the 84 ECM which didnt have that incorperated. I have the ADLDStuffs.zip file and was able to find the datastream defs for both ECM's in it. I've been using WinALDL to see whats going on with the motor but I'd like to have TunerPro take over so that I have a little more control of the values I want to check. I have no real hardware that will allow me to pull the PRoms out of either ECM to view the bins on em just the serial cable to retrieve info on the fly. So my question is with the proper documentation included with the zip file is it possible to create a definition from that information in tuner pro with what I have available to me for just retrieving information ? Basically going into tuner pro and into Tools > ALDL definition setup and fill in the blanks from that point to create a definition for tuner pro to understand the info coming from the ECM? I've gone thru the boards reviewing information and alot of them talk about pulling the chips and downloading the bins from them and proceding from that point and I was wondering since I dont have that as an option if I can go ahead with what I mentioned ?
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Ah I'm beginning to see now
. So basically after getting all the bits and bytes defined and grouped the way ya want the hard part is actually putting in the formula's to convert that data into the actual results you want. On regarding the command strings are the ecm's of that year even able to accept commands? I was under the impression they were basically just setup to monitor and dump their datastreams to the diagnostic equipment and to clear their memory you had to cut the juice to the ecm for a few seconds ?
Thanks again for the info
