746 TBI Computer and logging with Romulator

Post by bluzman2004 »

Can the Romulator be used with the logging mode. I can't seem to ever get the dash to show anything and when I try to play a log back the program crashes.
So far I love the program, I previously used the CATS stuff.

To log you need an ALDL interface (which is another piece of hardware). You can acquire this through various sources, one of which is to build it yourself (which isn't too complex and is very inexpensive, information can be found with a google search on the terms: MAX232, ALDL) or purchase one from www.moates.net.

I just tried that. I built a 1 transistor piece and it works fine through the serial port. I was running my pocket romulator with a usb to serial adapter through a usb port at the same time. This let me see the data and tune. Excellent!
I do believe the file for the data stream is a little off on a calcualtion or something, since the coolant temp is way out there. I will veriy with the Tech 1.
Thanks for you reply.
