I'm hoping someone can help me out. I just started using TunerPro RT v5 on a 1991 Cavalier. Here are the specs.
2004 3400 v6 swap
24# Accel injectors
Remote mount STS turbo.
stock Cavalier 7730 ECM
$8F bin file
JET chip adapter (has a chip socket in it)
Moates APU1 Autoprom
Dell 600M laptop (1.5GB RAM) using XP
I can emulate just fine with the Autoprom. I can make changes to the bin such as changing the fan temps and it accepts the changes. But if I try to make changes to the BPC vs. EGR% fuel table, nothing changes. The car runs the same. I even tried changing the VE tables for idle with no difference.
Can anyone point me in the direction as to what I am doing wrong?
Thank you.
7730/$8F Cavalier Fuel Changes while emulating.

depending on how you have your options setup, BPC and idle VE tables can be ignored at idle and can actually be done in alpha-n mode instead.
disabling "calc BPW at idle from airflow" or something like that should turn off the alpha-n portion and allow the BPC and idle VE table to be in use when at idle.

I disabled that flag and it did change the behavior of the engine. My INT went from 76 to 108 at idle and the idle was a little rougher, but there were no changes to INT or BLM after changing BPC vs. EGR%.robertisaar wrote:depending on how you have your options setup, BPC and idle VE tables can be ignored at idle and can actually be done in alpha-n mode instead.

Everything I have read claims that changing the BPC vs. EGR will make a big difference globally on the fuel. I have yet to see any change to INT or BLM by changing that % no matter what I do. It is currently set to 105. I have had it at 20 and no change from the engine.
I need to clarify my last post. The "calc bpw as air flow" was disabled in my bin. If I enable, the car runs rougher.
When I drive the car, BLM is around 100 at cruise. Any changes to the fuel tables has no effect on this. It looks like none of the tables are accepting any of my changes. The scalers and flags do work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been working on this car for over a week and can't seem to get past this hurdle.
