Datalogging issues with tunerpro rt

I'm having trouble data logging a 92 corvette running a 16159278 ecu. I'm using $DA2 definition file and believe I have most settings right. I'm using the Moates ALDU1 extreme. I can connect to the car but the connection keeps dropping in and out every couple of seconds. The connection indicator flashes from DA error red to DA connected blue. When connected the data appears to be correct. I have been told the digital dash cluster may be causing issues, but I don't know how to fix it. Can anyone help???
