1993 Corvette LT1

Post by ozzstar »

I am having trouble getting TPro to work correctly with my '93 Corvette LT1. The tool is able to connect but then instantly disconnects. The DA box turns blue and then flashes to red, back and forth switching non stop. Connected for a second then unconnected for a second. The ERROR count continues to climb and none of the data makes sense as it continues to vary.

I only want to see data and not going to tune. I currently have the DA2 adx. acquisition. Appreciate any help I can get to solve this issue.

What happens if you disconnect and reconnect a few times? Also, can you try the DA3 ADX?

i have disconnected and reconnected about 15 times. DA3 is a no go. So as far as I can tell and from feedback on the Corvette Forum the Red Devil River is a no go for me.

Is it a Bluetooth RDR cable? If so, I have heard of folks having issues with them. If you have access to a serial/USB based cable to verify with, that's the way to go. If you find it works, then you know it's the cable.

Link to the tool http://www.reddevilriver.com/aldl.html. It is used for data scanning only , not tuning. It is USB and not bluetooth as far as I know. I emailed Red Devil River twice and even called and left a message. It's been days and NO response back either way. I appreciate your suggestions Mangus to get this thing to work properly but its a no go so far. If you know of any other data scanners that work with a '93 Corvette and don't cost a fortune please let me know. I really need to get into the ECM and see whats going on. Thanks

If it's USB, it would assume that it would work fine. One thing to try would be to download the trial of TTS Datamaster for your vehicle. If it hooks up, you know your cable is correct, and that would tell us that it's a definition issue on the TunerPro side.
