TunerPro Refusing to open

Post by Shadrack »

I cannot get anything past version 5.00.9107.00 to go past the splash screen before it closes/crashes. I am running one version of windows behind, I have yet to update to 22H2. 5.00.9107.00 is the most recent version that works on my main machine and my laptop - any one else with similar issues?

No idea why this would be. Shot in the dark: with TunerPro closed, delete the .dat files in documents\tunerpro files\. Then try opening.

Same problem here. Splash screen then nothing. Interestingly Tuner Pro RT comes up fine.
I tried deleting the .DAT files and the issue persists.

There’s a problem with the XDF. Feel free to email it to me.

the xdf has been used many times on the previous laptop with the previous version of tunerpro.

the latest tunerpro version won't even open on the new laptop. that's the issue.

Only other suggestion is removing the .dat files while TunerPro is closed as recommended above. You mentioned it closing after selecting the xdf.

ok. i'll start again.

i have been using tunerpro on two previous laptops without issue, using all the same xdf, etc, for many years.

i now have a new hp laptop, and downloaded and installed the latest version of tunerpro from the website. installed without obvious issue, but when i try to open it, as per the original post here, it shows the banner for a few seconds, then it goes away and nothing else happens.

i uninstalled the new version, and installed a previous version on the new laptop. installed ok. but this is the one that would shut down when trying to open an xdf.

to summarise - problem is that when attempting to open - double click on desktop shortcut, right click>open, right click>open as admin, find in directory and click - the current version of tunerpro as downloaded from the website only shows the banner for a few seconds, then nothing else happens.
