I'm a new user. This is a fresh install. It crashes when I load/select an XDF. I've tried a a few XDFs directly off the TunerPro website.
TunerPro Build 5.00.10044.00
Windows 10.0.19045 Build 19045 (all updated)
No dll's in the plugins folder.
The windows logs show errors at the time of the crash related to MsftEdit.dll and xmllite.dll. SFC reports no issues with those files.

Re: Crash when loading XDF
Opening an XDF is something everyone does, so it'd be strange for this to be a core issue and only be hearing about it now. Perhaps it's a problem with the XDF download process you're using.
Can you open the 6E.xdf that's in the documents\tunerpro files\ folder?
For an XDF that crashes, if you open it in notepad, does the XML look similar to the XML of 6E.xdf?
FWIW, TunerPro doesn't use xmllite.

Re: Crash when loading XDF
That file opens fine. The XDFs that I downloaded from the site were an earlier version... 1.11 (0405WRX.xdf and Golf_VR6-ecu219_soft109.xdf). However, the file I would like to open is for a MK7 VW Golf R. That XDF is rather large (56MB). Could the issue be related to the XDF size?
Here's a link to the XDF I'd like to open:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yj0KEV ... drive_link

Re: Crash when loading XDF
No, the size probably isn't the issue. Some other aspect of the XDFs that are crashing is the problem, specific to those files. Zip up the file and email it to me.

Re: Crash when loading XDF
Found a fix, but I have no idea why this works....
Opening XDFs from the downloads folders causes a crash. However if I move them to the BIN Definitions folder... no more crashes. I've never experienced that before with other software.

Re: Crash when loading XDF
Where is your downloads folder? Does your user folder have any strange characters in your username?
Sounds like a red herring. The XDF you sent loads fine for me from my desktop, from the downloads folder, from the documents folder, and various other folders (including deep structures) that I've now tried.
