0411 standalone 4.3 tuning

Post by cptnjack »

Hi guys, I'm new to tuning. What I'm trying to do is tune my 0411 to run a 4.3 standalone setup. I'm doing an EFI conversion on my boat and I've got all the mechanical work and wiring harness put together. I already flashed my ECU to run a 4.3 with a standard transmission using a .bin from a 6.0 standard transmission and changing all the parameters to match a .bin file with a 4.3 but when I plugged it in it appears as though I have no spark. I haven't had the time to dig into if I'm getting power everywhere I need it yet but I was thinking and wanted to ask the question, How does the ECU know to "run"? My starting system is all setup from the carbureted 4.3 and isn't fed by the ECM, so I was wondering if there was something I need to do to tell it to run or does it get its clue to work from the distributor turning or something along those lines? Thank you in advance for your help!
