Help Virus worm on Xdf

Post by wendersky »

Excuse my poor English, I'm Brazilian and I recently purchased a Tunerpro package with .xdf files for some motorcycles. The seller said I need to disable antivirus on my laptop or it will delete the files, and I noticed that my Windows Defender flagged some files as Trojans and Win32 worms.
I'm concerned about security and would like to know if I should be worried or if it's normal for the files to contain these files.
Thank you.

Always download TunerPro from the TunerPro site. XDFs are text files, so you should be able to open those with a text editor to verify that they are not executable. I would trust your antivirus software before I would trust someone who sold you a collection of free stuff from the internet.
