Editing logs

Post by Six_Shooter »

Is there a way to convert a CSV back to an ADL after editing it?

If not, is there a way to edit an ADL file, to remove samples?

That would be a nice feature to have. I asked Mark a while back for that capability for ScannerPro logs also. Maybe we'll see it in the new version.

There isn't a way to do this. Lots of information is lost during the conversion to CSV, so I'm not sure how useful converting back would be. Don't delete that original log! :)

I will add export to CSV to ScannerPro (or at least to the TunerPro implementation).

I've been sidetracked from TunerPro work for a couple weeks now, but intend to get back to it shortly.

Dave - what ever came of that ScannerPro launch problem you were having on Vista? Did you figure it out?

Mark,

I'm running XP, so you must be thinking of someone else running Vista.

As you know, ScannerPro has some "qwirks" and I'm still building a bugs lists for it, and TunerPro also. Let me know when you would like to have them.

I have been able to get some excellant data, using ScannerPro with the extended intercharacter timeout, logging from my custom ECU code. I've also been able to glean enough info from the XDL file header to extract the data and convert it to CSV. My utility also reads data from DynoJet DRF files and incorporates that into the CSV files, indexed by rpm.

Cheers,
Dave

Sure, send them my way, and you're right, it was a different Dave. :)
