Can edit constants, but table editing offset

Post by tkelly27 »

Hello, I've been playing with tunerpro for a few weeks now and I'm having a strange problem. This is on a DSM and the information I'm using to compare things is from here
http://www.hwnd.org/#fuel%20map

There are also .ECU and .BIN files on the yahoo group page linked from there.

When I modify a binary, everything is Ok. When I modify a table, it does the right thing, but in the wrong spot in the binary. For example, the fuel table starts at 73CF. In the XDF info this is changed to F3CF, I'm not sure why, but the letter in front works in the binaries. It actually changes the information in the BIN at 3C3F. When I change the XDF info to E3CF the information goes to 2C3F, and when it is changed to 103CF or G3CF (for me the two next logical choices) tunerpro crashes. It does this for all the tables.

Also, why is there a letter in front of them in the XDF info? F3CF is significantly bigger than 73CF and not even in the binary, right?

Do you have the global offset set correctly in the XDF header? This was actually introduced for you DSM guys.

I used a supplied .ecu file to get the xdf. Bin size is set at 4000 and base offset is set at C000.
