1990 5.0 LX Mustang

Post by Craig Smith »

Mr Mangus,
I'm back...
Now a new project, tuning my son's Mustang
I bought Craig's Burn1 and the F2A
Everything works fine, I need to Datalog the thing in order to know what to change.
Will Tuner Pro datalog the stang?
Also, what type of cables do I need to hook up the the Ford PCM?
We still need to resolve my payment issue!

Unfortunately TunerPro doesn't support datalogging on Ford ecu's, you'll need to use something like the Tweecer, EEC Tuner or Sneec devices.

Well found the answer to my Tuning.
Use TunerPro with Craig Moates stuff.
Just bought the Ostrich and the Ford Emu units.
I already have the Burn1 and the F2A unit.
Now I can data log and see what I can get out of the Pony.
Learning curve is high, expectations high, questions on how in the world to do it, MANY

Well the trials and tribulations of tunning!
Got my stuff from Craig M, hooked it up and strarted the car.
Ran awful, pump ran continually, running ver rich, wouldn't idle.
Remove the Ostrich, runs fine.
So, in my wisdom I tought I might try hooking it up as the thing in running.
Wrong thing to do!
Fried the PCM!
Got on the phone to Craig Moates, very big help!
Found out I needed to change the jumpers in the Ostrich. I haven't tried hooking things up again, I am going to try this weekend.
Oh, got anotehr PCM from a friend, engine runs again.
Question I have is, are there any instructions, tips or anything out there for hooking up the Ostrich? I've seen the stuff on Moates.net but it's just about drivers and the4 like. I am using TunerPro RT to datalog and program but I sure would like an instruction sheet with DO's and Don'ts.
Thanks for any help someone has!
