what ecm to use?

i just bought a 5.7 L31 vortec engine from a 99 tahoe, it has the complete wiring harnes but no ECU, im going to retro-fit it in my 76 camaro, since ill be looking to turbocharge later i would like to know what OBDI ECU would be good for my engine (OBDII tuning programs look kinda expensive)

if you're going to throw a turbo on it, either run TGP code(8F) or Sy/Ty (58/code59). best way to go boosted on a GM ECM. you can use the 1227727/1227730/1227749 ECMs for i think all codemasks.

30/27 on TGP code and 7749 on Sy/Ty for sure

will they work with the stock L31 manifold and injectors or will i need to buy new ones?

i don't know enough about the CPI setups to know what injectors they use, but there are TGPs out there running up to 43lb/hr injectors at least, so there are options.

i don't know why you couldn't use the manifold unless it is a plastic one...
