You have adjusted the settings in the ALDL/Emulation Preferences tab, to match what you are using?

It says com port 1. Do I have to hook up the cable to a 12v and ecu in order for this system to detect the cable.

If it is a cable that needs external power, then yes, you will need to connect to power, you do not need to nor want to connect to the ECU to use the detect cable function.

Software Universal

Post by maisnamvictor »

I want to know what range of the hardware chips the software will support?
I have installed a custom ECU in my car and want to find out and work tuning the chip DIY.

The ECU has an OBDII port, but I also want to use the OBDII port to the ECU and USB port to connect to my PC, is there any cable available in the market?

Please advice.
