1993 caprice data log

Post by IndyL03 »

I have been using program and read on a page "use 10k resistor" idk why?
it picks up the car without one. does using one or not right or wrong?

looking through my FSM I have not came across anything but in the mean time just asking around about that resistor. I am not trying to do any power adding but hope i can find where this very light shaking i get is coming from after I have been in closed loop after a considerable amount of time and I idle in park or while in gear at a light. its most notice able after getting off highway since car rides smooth then does it at light or when car is parked at my destinatinion

some ECMs(a lot of the 160 baud ones) require a 10K resistor to get the datastream to flow correctly.

some will refuse to spit out any info without it, while others push out an entirely different stream.

if it seems to work without it you can ignore the warning.

referring to a difference in datastreams, or a difference in the BIN itself?

both of them work. i used a 10k resistor as well and the car just revved up and if i short a and b SES just flashes in relation to whether or not its rich or lean
