1rst datalog. Can I get a trained set of eyes?

Does anyone see anything abnormal with this? I see the voltage dropping to super low or zero values every several captures. What's up with that? Any ideas of what would cause it?

looks like datastream corruption.

if i had to guess, i'd say this log is from a 94-95 LT1 car? if so, which version of the the ADX are you using?

Yeah, It's a 94 lt1 firebird. I'm using the BETA-V5-94 95 LT1 f&y body-auto.adx off of this sites download section.

Is there a way to thin out some of the stuff in the items list, like all the current obd1 codes? Or does this mean that I actually have all those codes stored? Do you see anything else out of line?

i wonder if that's the updated ADX.... we recently had a thread where between a few members, we brainstormed up a way to get rid of the datstream glitches in the 94-95 LT1 setup and had success with at least one vehicle.

you COULD modify the item lists view if you wanted, but then you have the possibility of missing something important in a log.

unless you see something next to a DTC indicating that it's set(i write my definitions with a large ERROR value), then it's more of a placeholder.

I dunno? Maybe it's the updated one, maybe it isn't?

The only reason I was thinking about thinning out some of the things in the items list was so I could open it as a .csv file in excel. I can only get part of the log in excel from having too many rows to display. I dunno, I'm totally new to this...

I'm mainly looking to improve my fuel mileage here first, since it seems to be much less than it should, but I don't really see anything way out of wack? BLM's are not far from 128 from what I've seen, no knock retard, etc...

I think one of the evap lines may be screwed up on the car though, I can smell fuel on hot days. Could I be losing much through evaporation?

just in case the one you downloaded is not the newest one, there is one i modified to what was found to work by Faceman.

fuel economy is effected by MANY things, a lot of which can't possibly show up in the datastream, like a dragging brake caliper, low tire pressure, bad alignment, etc...

i have a non-functional CCP solenoid and had to cap off the EVAP stuff otherwise i would have a very horrible idle, but on a recent roadtrip to chicago, i still managed an excellent 38MPG without it.

the scent of fuel alone wouldn't be enough to diagnose an EVAP problem.

Thanks man... I downloaded and tried that one but it won't connect.... Which is weird because before I tried to connect and log more data, I looked at a past log with that ADX. It showed a coolant temp about 40 degrees cooler than the first ADX, which is nice because I thought I had a faulty coolant temp sensor..

Anyway, mechanically the car is okay.. Tire pressure, chassis, no sticking calipers, etc. Engine was rebuilt about twenty thousand miles ago, doesn't use oil, has new injectors, plugs look good.

I bought the car with a bad fuel pump though, I'm thinking in the process of wrestling the tank back in the car I may have jacked up one of the CC lines. The canister is in the back of these cars and it seems to be a pretty often observed problem when showing this symptom. That symptom being a fuel smell in the cabin when your window is rolled down.

I dunno, I gues I'll drop the tank again and check all the lines. I was just really expecting to see something out of wack with the datalog... But the only thing I've observed (I think) Is the TPS voltage/% being on kind of a funky curve, though it's kinda hard to tell with the corrupt data every few captures...

This one works! No corrupt data...

Thanks again Robert.

Now, Do you happen to know of some of some spreadsheet I can export a datalog to that will be able to display all of the rows?

what do you mean be able to display all of the rows?

if you export to CSV, you can select whatever you want to be imported into a CSV file.
