new to tuning

Hi my name is BoB and I am new to custom fi tuning,,,,,brand new. I am a mechanic of over twenty five years exp. I am pretty good at stock testing and diagnostics, but seem to be getting lost in the terminolgy of things. I have always relied on the scan tool to give me the information at a speed and numbers I could understand. The closest I come to this new to me terminolgy is the odd time I've looked at the hexi decimal readings in global obdII,,,,,and didn't understand. So my question is where can I find the information to understand this new to me terminoligy?
