Checksum Addressing Issue EE.xdf

Post by b1heqh54 »

16188051 PCM (s...)
TPrt V5

Much success for several months, vehicles, flashes, etc.

Recently offset kickdown speed table by +5 and begin seeing the following message whenever trying to save any or all bin files...
Error - One or more checksums could not be updated. Check checksum addressing, etc, for validity

(I actually tried to flash a corrupted file that generated the first error - YEP, it was corrupt - how embarrassingly naive to think that I could just simply overwrite it again :( got a no-go with a rapidly flashing Engine Light)

I downloaded the EE.xdf file again from this site, re-initiated a new instance, and re-installed the EE definition - same thing, same checksum addressing error

If I were to remove the following from the EE.xdf, might I get along, by relying entirely on the bin produced by TPro itself??

%%CHECKSUM%%
000002 UniqueID =0x3763
010005 Title ="Checksum 0"
010010 DataStart =0x2018
010015 DataEnd =0xFFFF
010025 StoreAddr =0x2015
010030 CalcMethod =0x0
010050 Flags =0x0
%%END%%

%%CHECKSUM%%
000002 UniqueID =0x3764
010005 Title ="Checksum 1"
010010 DataStart =0x12018
010015 DataEnd =0x1FFFF
010025 StoreAddr =0x12015
010030 CalcMethod =0x0
010050 Flags =0x0
%%END%%

Uninstalled TPrt V5 and reinstalled - no change - every time you save a bin - you get a checksum error.

Uninstalled TPrt and installed TP V5 - problem fixed.

Still rather confused as one might imagine...lol
Oh well: forward and onward!
