Entering negative values into ignition maps

Post by charlescrown »

Hello. I am totally new to TunerPro but like what I see. The problem I have is when I enter a minus setting into the ignition map it reverts to zero when I save it. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Dave

The definition file is probably only set up to accept unsigned values for that parameter.

I have looked into the XDF file but cannot see where it can be changed. Can you help with some advice. Thanks Dave

I cannot see $12P in the TunerPro download section so I'm guessing it's been sourced form elsewhere. Can you post the definition somewhere or give a link to it?

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The $12 is from the Delcohacking website in a ose$12p folder. Looking at the screen in front of me I cannot see how to attach a copy. Hope you can find it.

It appears to be for modified code and the xdf seems quite comprehensive. Are you sure the ignition table you are looking at should be capable of accepting negative numbers? I think asking your question over on Delcohacking is the best way to resolve it.

Yes your right with what you say. I an a member of Delco Hacking but waiting to get into the $12 discussion group. I have spoken with a friend of mine who says the same as you that maybe it cannot accept negative values. I am not concerned as the negs are only a few and in the low rpm range.
What I tried to do is enter all the same values for an EVO Lancer as my car is very similar but with a Delco system. That's where I found it would not accept negative values.
Thanks for your help and I will continue to see if it's possible.
