Enhance 07 Vibe engine controls.

Post by LooRy »

Hi all.
Just registered.
I know almost nothing about ECU programming but i would like to "enhance" the way my 2007 Pontiac Vibe is working.
After alot of research on the web finding noting usefull to tune my Vibe i just found your site and i said maybe i'm lucky something exist.

The thing is that i want to make my car much more fuel efficient with driving technics and mods (i'm a member of the Hypermiller's website Ecomodder.com)
The problem is that the Vibe is an automatic and my wife dont want to drive with a manual transm. so i have to cope with what i have.

What i would like to do is engage the lock-up torque converter at about 30 instead of 40mph and also change the way the transm. shift.

As everything is controled via ECU i would love to see how everything work together and have the possibility to tune things a little, for example in the morning first start the engine wind petty fast for a few minutes and engaging the transm. to drive at that moment gives a shock to the powertrain.
I also dont like at all the "one size fits all" king of aproach the car makers take (no personalized adjustments possible to the dealers) on how the car perform regarding power, torque, fuel consump. N much more.

Do you think the TunerPro would be the right tool for that ?
If yes, where should i start and what to buy ?
Thanks
Loo

Unfortunately there isn't much in the way of TunerPro definitions for newer OBD2 vehicles like your Vibe. I'm not sure what your options are for your particular vehicle.

Sorry!
