emulation issues

Post by Berettaspeed »

OK i got some help from someone and so far im moving along.

well i ran into a few things.

When i try to do some real time tunning it does nothing. i have the all in one burner and emulator with tunerpr rt. one thing i wonder if it due to me not registering? i cant register the program cause when i try the program (tunerpro) claims i have an invalid zip? or whatever it says. i used the email i got from here when i bought the thing and it worked the first time. but i got a new hard drive and everything so i had to reload all my programs. could this be an issue why my real time wont work and i have to update the emulater everytime i change something? or is that normal?

also im still lost as to how i can retirve data from my old chip? i need a couple of constants or numbers off that for my trans

I have an 89 beretta 5spd with w 3400 and the TGP code. everything on the engine is O.E and well as trans.im also using a WB

The non registered version of TunerPro RT is the same as the registered version (i.e. fully functional). The only difference is the non registered version has the 'nag' box.

Changing pc hardware should not affect your registration code, I have done this without a problem. Have you tried downloading the TunerPro RT installation file again?

x2, I have HAD to re-install TP RT more than a few times now. :( No problems thus far. E-mail mark and see if he can help you out with that.

As far as emulation goes, do you have a green box in the lower left corner that says: "Emulating"? To get that to come on and connect to the emulator, you need to click on the blue square with "legs" off either side in the upper tool bar. This enables and disables real time emulation.

The "automatic" update only happens when dragging graph points or the slider bars for constants. Anything done within the editor needs to be applied via the "update" button (when emulation is enabled).

As far as re-registering, that's not a problem. Make sure you unzip the .zip file attached to your registration email. you should be sending a .tpk file up to TunerPro to register. Follow the instructions in the original email.
