trouble with win98 and RT tuner pro

Post by HarpSeal1 »

Hey Everyone

I picked up an old windows 98 laptop from a friend. Problem is tuner pro RT doesn't run correctly on this windows 98 setup. The problems are in the menus and graphical interface. Basically, looking at the virtual dash just display symbols for the text. The tool bar at the top is blank, no icons or any response clicking on the blank area. Then in the drop down menu some of the menu items do nothing when clicked on, like the preferences item.

However, datalogging function works fine. I just have to load the logs onto a flash drive and put them on another computer with tuner pro to watch them.

Maybe im missing some kind of runtime libraries? Its windows 98 first edition.

Id upgrade it, but optical drive is bad and its only got 64MB of ram :/ I can get some screen shots btw.

thanks for any help

Try upgrading Internet Explorer to the latest version supported on Win98. Some controls require newer UI DLLs, which are installed as part of IE.
