.ads / .adx ?

Post by jwag »

Sorry for the newb question, but I am not understanding something that has to be quite simple. I am hoping to emulate through an APU into a 730 ecm using TPv5. It seems all the definition files are .ads yet TP is asking for a .adx and an error message responds with unrecognized encoding? I thnk I understand the emulation process, but I dont understand how to view real time data and creating a dashboard with gauges. The scannerpro dashboard links dont seem to relate.

Thanks,

ADS is the datastream definition for TPV4.
ADX is for V5.

you can import an ADS in TPV5 and it will create an ADX for you, though you will still have to make your own dash.

The latest builds of V5 should create a default Dash for you, similar to the V4 Dash.

that is roughly what i meant, but worded it badly... should have said that the dash isn't anywhere near as unique as it could be right after an ADS to ADX conversion.
