Data logging

Hey guys,
I have a stupid question here. I am trying to log data on my '91 GTP Grand Prix 3.4 5 speed. I am new to this program and cannot figure out how to make my laptop communicate with my car. I have the correct cable (GM OBDI to USB) and have downloaded the DF.ads file. I am importing it by clicking on Acquisition>Import definition>From ADS. I have my ALDL cable connected through my COM3 port on my laptop. I have logged data successfully many times using TTS datamaster. There's something simple I'm missing here I feel like.

Figured it out! Had the wrong COM port selected.
