"Using Data Acq. getting jumpy readings"

Post by Blitz-Dobe »

I'm using the data logger on my 91 vette it reads, but it keeps jumping in and out of "DA Connecting" and "DA Connected". It keeps reporting errors during the process, but there's also valid data coming in. I tried to adjust the Pay load offset, and Payload Size by + 1, but then I get no readings from the computer. Any ideas, is my USB to serial ADLD bad, or maybe a bad ALDL plug-in?

you need to increase Body Size by 1, not Payload Size.

Thanks for the Help!

I tried your suggestion, but my results were the same. I think I might have a bad ALDL cable, or the port is not making a good connection. I'm going to try another scan tool to see were the fault lies.

Thanks again!!! :D
